Your results

Results of the basic-level exam (izpit na osnovni ravni67) come within 3034 working days of the exam. The result is pass or fail124. If you pass, you get a certificate listing your result in each part; if you don’t, you get a report of your results.

If you think your result is wrong, you can appeal within 834 days of receiving your result. An appeal costs €203. The exam centre’s exam regulations set out how an appeal is handled.

Retakes

There is practically no limit on retakes at the regular sittings, and each one is paid in full. A retake is always the whole exam: you can’t sit only the part you failed. The one exception comes after an appeal, when the appeal committee can decide that you sit the spoken part again. The exam centre advises against sitting one sitting after another without preparing in between (questions and answers).

How many pass

The exam centre publishes its pass rates. In 2024, 77%5 of the 3,1035 basic-level exams were passed; in 2025, 65%3 were. These are for all candidates, not for our learners.

If you fail one part, can you retake just that part?

No. A retake is the whole exam, at a later sitting; only an appeal committee can order the spoken part alone.
