Privacy notice for this website

Last updated October 24, 2026

This notice covers this website and email sent to its address. The Besedica app will have its own privacy policy.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Richard Petron, 6 Miller St, Benton, ME 04901, USA. Email: hello@besedica.com.

Visiting the site

The site is made of static files served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). To send you a page, Cloudflare handles your IP address and the details of your request, such as the page asked for, your browser and the time. Cloudflare’s privacy policy says it acts as a processor for logs kept for its customers and for content passing through its network, and as a controller for some data it uses for its own purposes, such as security.

Cloudflare does not publish a fixed retention period for this data: its privacy policy says it keeps it as long as its business purposes need. We do not view or export request logs: no log export is set up, and the plan this site uses offers no log download.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Emailing us

Email to hello@besedica.com is handled by Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards it to the publisher’s personal mailbox at an email provider. Cloudflare keeps a record of each message’s sender, recipient and subject for 31 days, and says it does not store the message itself. We keep your message as long as we need it to answer you and follow up, then delete it.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

What the site doesn’t do

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It has no analytics, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not switched on for it.

Processor terms and transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare processes data for us under its Customer Data Processing Addendum, which is part of the subscription agreement this site’s account accepted, so no separate signature is needed. Cloudflare is in the USA. Transfers there rest on Cloudflare’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and on the EU’s standard contractual clauses if that certification lapses.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict its use, or object to its use (GDPR Art. 15 to 21). Email hello@besedica.com.

You can complain to a data protection authority where you live or work, or to the Slovene Information Commissioner (GDPR Art. 77): Informacijski pooblaščenec (Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, gp.ip@ip-rs.si. It explains how to file a complaint.

No representative in the EU

The publisher is not established in the EU and has not appointed a representative there (GDPR Art. 27). The law does not require one for processing that is occasional, includes no special categories of data or data about criminal offences, and is unlikely to result in a risk to people (Art. 27(2)(a); EDPB Guidelines 3/2018, section 4(b)). If you are in the EU, contact the publisher directly at hello@besedica.com.
